The most critical topics and the most heated debates of the freethought movement are set to take center stage at Women in Secularism 2, May 17–19 in Washington, DC, presented by the Center for Inquiry.

The newly redesigned conference website now lists the full schedule of exciting and enlightening events. It includes presentations that will inform and inspire from such luminaries as Susan Jacoby, Jennifer Michael Hecht, Rebecca Goldstein, Maryam Namazie, Katha Politt, R. Elisabeth Cornwell, and Amanda Marcotte.

WiS Faces 2013

Panel discussions will cover such topics as the role of feminism in skepticism, the challenges for women in leaving religion, how secularism can advance the cause of women’s rights, and what secularists can learn from other social movements. Participating in these discussions will be a wealth of secularism’s women thinkers and activists.

And as an additional, optional treat, attendees can also register for a special Saturday night dinner with a performance from singer-songwriter Shelly Segal
