"The Moral Landscape"
October 21, 2010
Questions of good and evil, right and wrong are commonly thought unanswerable by science. But in his new book The Moral Landscape, Harris argues that science can -- and should -- be an authority on moral issues, shaping human values and setting out what constitutes a good life.
After the talk, Sam Harris will sign books.
Please also join us in Fuller Hall to mingle and talk!
SPECIAL NOTICE: Admission is FREE and seats are first come, first served the night of the event, but there is a way to guarantee a seat ahead of time and avoid standing in line.
Because we are expecting a sold out venue, we are reserving seats for Friends of the Center who request one. This way, we do not risk having to turn away those who enable such events with their financial support. Friend of the Center seating will be front and center in the VIP section. If your membership will be active on the day of the event (October 21st), we can reserve a seat for you and one guest. (Please be sure to claim your seat by 6.45 p.m. when we'll have to open the house to all guests.)
To request a seat reservation, click the "Sign me up" button below and submit the reservation form. We will then check your Friend of the Center status and let you know if we can reserve a seat for you.
Not a Member? It's not too late to sign up!
If your membership will expire before October 21st, or if you are not currently a member, you can become a Friend of the Center by going to our Sign-Up page. Individual membership is $60.00 per year. Students can join for $20.00.
